Russell Ihrig was born in Alexandria, KY and currently resides in Bellevue, KY with his chihuahua, Donnie. He received his BFA in Fine Art from The Art Academy of Cincinnati in 2003. His dayjob is working at a non-profit arts organization where he dresses up in costumes to teach children about art. He also does occasional design and illustration work when somebody asks him nicely.

While Russell has always been interested in storytelling and art, his interest in comics didn't begin until adulthood when a friend introduced him to Black Hole by Charles Burns. After reading a bunch of other comics, he figured he could easily make his own. As it turns out, it's not so easy.
